If you're sending me mail ....
I receive a ton of mail and, due to demands on my time, sadly I can no longer guarantee a reply. Please take that into consideration when contacting me.

I don't debate via PM ....
Please leave comments on the relevant video. This is to encourage openness and concision.

Deleting/blocking....
You'll find plenty of disagreement in the discussions. What you won't find a lot of is a) abuse, b) dissemination of blatant misinformation and prejudice, and c) spam — which includes holy book quotes, which come under 'god-spam', representing neither a recognised authority nor an argument.

I'm pleased to say most folk who contribute comments on this channel are a devilish decent bunch.

'I would like to know your reasons for making these videos'
Hello rogerhust — well, I made a video called 'Acceptable Prejudices' in response to a clip of a vile piece of anti-atheist poetry on what was ostensibly an anti-prejudice poetry programme — while sexism, racism and homophobia were quite rightly slammed, it seemed some other prejudices were allowed, and in fact wildly approved of by the audience. All my other videos stemmed from the personal reactions I received to that, then subsequent reactions to those videos and so on — so my videos are all basically responses to what comes my way.

I have to say I find your videos calm, well-reasoned, and compelling. Although I'm not an atheist, rest assured I'm not seeking to convert you to any faith. But I would like to know your reasons for making these videos. Did you make these videos because you feel like atheists in general are under attack or because the world would somehow be a better place if we gave up religion? Or could it have been something more personal? You could have kept your non-religious beliefs private so why instead, did you choose to share them. Forgive me, I'm just curious.

TheraminTrees - you have quickly become one of my favourite Youtubers. Your thought-provoking and intellectually nourishing videos keep me entertained and enlightened in equal measure.

Many thanks.

Thanks for your answer, that makes perfect sense, I had never thought of it that way. That has always been one of those things I never could feel comfortable with. I see now that it is an unnecessary fear! Thanks again.

In regards to your videos, I want to thank you personally. I always had my thought about the subject of god, the human mind, and in general why things that happen... well, happen. Your videos have really opened my eyes, and helped me to better understand the thought process and logic behind it. I hope to see many more videos from you, and again, Great work, my friend.

Thank you for these videos, You are very fortunate that you were able to question your beliefs at a young age. I have always "known" that there was a god. Recently I have come to the point that I really doubt the existence of god, I'm damn near sure of it. The realization that I have never questioned my faith all these years really angers me.

Out of curiosity, did you ever think about the "what if I'm wrong" question? If so, how did you overcome it?

Thanks again.
