About Thecomedyworkoutroom
Prompted by suggestions in countless comedy books to "start an open mic in your comunity" Victor Escobedo recruited a couple of fellow comics and started The comedy workout room! in January of 2008. The open mic happens every Wednesday at the Pepperbelly's comedy lounge, right next door to the Pepperbelly's Comedy Theater. The group's ultimate goal is to transfer the open mic to the big stage.
The audience at the open mic has steadily grown in these past few months and it's gone from an average of no people to an average of a few people. As soon as the audience reaches an average of a lot of people, or better yet, a whole bunch of people, the show will migrate to the big stage and the world will be saved.
