Covers are a scary thing because people can love or hate them, and either way there's a strong emotion involved. I really hope you enjoy and appreciate my band's cover of Massive Attack's, "Teardrop". Yes, we're a folk/americana/pop band performing an electronic track, but it's been a lot of fun to work it up and make it feel like one of our own. : ) It's a great song, and this is our way of saying, "thanks for making an awesome song that many people can enjoy in many different ways".
Our friend Anthony (from GemsOnVHS) filmed the video for us at McPherson Studios in Nashville one evening just after we finished tracking. We recently finished an album, you see, and we made a really exciting version of this song that will be released sometime this spring. I suppose this video is a way of introducing you to it and getting us all a little more excited about the new record!

So this is one of my favorite songs right now by Gotye, actually the whole album (Making Mirrors) is amazing! I can't get enough so I decided to do a video :)
The video is showing but a few of the vocal parts I recorded for this song. It's basically all a capella except for the percussion and the deep bass line in the chorus, unfortunately I do not have a mans deep range and could not sing that low! All in all it's a harmony filled tribute to a great song and if you've watched my other videos you know I LOVE harmony!
I have to thank TYSON VILLENEUVE so much for his contribution, the video was basically all his doing and I'm quite happy with how it turned out! The video itself took quite a while because we've never formatted one like this before.
