She gave it a good shot, but IMO, she failed to 'let go'. The joy of Freddie's performance is that the brakes are off. He's willing to just let the whole silly nonsense of the song carry itself, whereas Perry remains too self-conscious as as performer to really let the high-energy load of lyric...
