The FX5 looks like a big improvement. The smaller fish have reduced your bio load quite a bit and I think your maintenance should drop significantly. What time frame do you guess between w/c's ?

A 50% water change should drop the Nitrates by 50% if the new water's Nitrates were 0, so by changing out 33%, as you do, your Nitrates should fall by the same amount right after your w/c.
