Whilst in Dublin I stumbled upon an atmospheric, little gig in the basement of a pub. Cosy and intimate, the atmosphere was such that I felt nestled around a camp fire amongst close friends except that I didn't know anyone else there and instead of gazing mesmerized into a fire I was enthralled by the incredible music being played. The most amazing thing was how this atmosphere had been created minus the usual towering black speakers or endless reels of wires. And there was simply no need for them, since everyone sat in silent appreciation of the music. Unaltered and un-enhanced, this was music in its purest form-surely how it should be?

Thus, out of the unfortunate rarity of such great experiences The Unplugged Sessions were born.

The night runs fortnightly on a Monday upstairs at The Windmill in Mayfair, a pub famed for its award-winning pies and its Young's ales. We strive to create an intimate and comfortable atmosphere for both the artists and the audience and as such the venue is small so try to get down early to assure a seat. We also ask that the audience is respectful to the artists during performances, so noise levels are kept to a minimum, ensuring that a pleasant and civilized evening is had by all!
