Water expands by a 3rd when it freezes and that third sits above the water when it floats. So space wise - no change.

It's about principalities. Good works let those of us who aren't omnipotent see that someone probably is a christian, but if it's just good works and they don't have a relationship with God, it usually comes out in the end. You should keep good works secret as in - don't go boasting...
