Born Brandon Morris, Son has been in love with music from birth. From an early age I've always enjoyed singing along with my favorite artist the late great Michael Jackson. Probably around the age of 5 i was introduced to hip-hop and have been a fan ever since. The first place I can remember living at was in a high rise apartment in Toronto. We than moved from there when i was going to grade 1 or 2 to a house in Scarborough. Than moved from there to Brampton when i was going into grade 8 and B-towns been my home ever since. In grade 6 i began writing my own poetry and rhymes(they weren't that good but you gotta start somewhere!) I continued to write music through Jr.High and High school, but stopped mid-year of grade 12 when I dropped out of school when I found out my girlfriend at the time was pregnant with my child. Soon after We left the city to get away from all the drama, stress, and bullshit highschool kids can bring to your life. We left Brampton and moved to NorthBay where we lived with her dad and step mom for 6months. We than moved back to Brampton when the due date was getting closer so I could find a job to support my soon to be family. At 19 i was working graveyard shift in a warehouse driving forklift to make as much money as I could get to get an apartment of our own. July 19th 2006 my daughter Mya Morris was born and my world changed forever. From the moment i held her and looked into her eyes I knew i wanted to give her the world and i made a promise that I would. At a time where i needed money the most I was fired from my job and many jobs after that and hadn't made music in years. Times were rough and my baby moms had to hold the fort down while i was going from job to job and being unemployed for months on end. Eventually she got fed up and decided to end our 5year relationship last year. For the first time in a longtime I was on my own and had to find myself as a man and re-establish my relationship with my music which is exactly what i did! I wrote over 300 songs and decided I would finally get on the mic and put my music out for the world to hear. To this day i remember the promise I made to myself and my daughter about providing for her and giving her the life I never had... I made a promise to myself that 2010 would be a new start for me. An opportunity to put the past behind me, move forward and pursue my career in the music industry. Me and Hiphop have had a very rock relationship threw out my life. But I have made a vow to never turn my back on her again for as long as we both shall live. Thanks to recent success of Canadian artists like Kardinal Offishall, Drake, and K-os I feel like now is my time to shine and put my foot in the door. I'm slim but I'm ready to win....I'm new on the scene but I've bin doing this since i was in the womb! this is my destiny! so follow me on my journey because I'm the next act outta the city to get on... I make my music to please my ears and try to go places no man has ever gone b4! you could call me Dr.love cause I love me some ladies and I make tons of music for them! but my tracks for the ladies doesn't define me as an artist because I feel I'm one of the most versatile artist on the planet....if you enjoy my music subscribe so you can be notified when I have up new shit! if your a hating ass motherfucker feel free to express your hatred all over my shit so I can try and council you and get to the root of your hate! could it be I'm everything your not? everything you aspire to be in life?
