Well, life has been rough, and i've lost alot. karma never pays up on her debts, but i hope she will, cuz hope's all i got. [yes i know it rhymes, i wrote it on purpose] anyway, name's nick, and music is the only thing that gets me through all the tough stuff that comes my way.
Sometimes one discovers that life is less of a journey toward the inevitable end than a search for the road less traveledand true enjoyment of that life rests solely on discovering which path you decide to take and with whom you want to enjoy the journey with. From a very young age, I decided that the only one true goal I had for my life, whichever direction it may lead, was to leave an impact on the world. I have always had the one true desire for the end of my journey, is of everyone saying over my casket that I left a lasting impression on their life. I want nobody to ever say that I did them wrong, instead that I made some kind of positive impact on their outlook of this trip of self discovery. I have always wished that there would be one person that would be able to honestly say that I made some kind of improvement on their lacklusterly shepherded excursion of self improvement and made them a better person by some sort of brilliant insight into their psyche, some sort of discovery that brought to light ideas and insights that the person never knew they had. I have always wanted that people I meet hear something I say and decide to themselvesI cant believe I never saw it that way I dont want others to necessarily think the way I think exactly, but I want them to learn to think for themselves.

I may not be the best person at acting on my own advice, but that is what makes me good at giving it, because I know what you shouldnt do, by doing it and always learning the hard way I was always the kid that after being told dont touch that, its hot, I would look over both shoulders to see if someone was watching, and then place my whole hand in the flames, cuz I wasnt ever satisfied unless I figured it out on my own. My psychologist said it was called ODD, or oppositional defiance disorder, but I say it was just my young attempt at trying to forge my own path, because if you dont choose your own paths, what is ever the point of having the ability of free thought. What is ever the point at choosing wrong from right is there even such a thing? Is there really black, white and gray areas, or is there just varying degrees of light and absence of it? Nobody really ever knows, because nobody ever puts their hands in the flames anymore. We take everyones word for face value because they are older and more experienced everyones been there, done that. well I am here to tell you that there is no way to learn how to fly unless you jump off a cliff without a parachute to see if you cant.

And one more thing many people have asked me about love, and until lately I have never really been able to answer them when they ask how do you know what love is? but I think after my experiences of late, I can honestly answer the question. Love is the search for a witness. See, when your life is over, and you are dead and gone your life, and how you lived it, only matters if someone says it does. People who have had a lot of life experiences and seen the world always say well, Ill die happy, knowing I did alot of what I wanted to do. but how can anyone know if you ever achieved any of your goals in life without a life witness, someone to share your life with, someone who is there and witnesses your achievements firsthand. Love is the search for that person. The search that says that you care about your life, good or bad, because youve found someone who cares about your life too. So finding love is really just looking for someone who will say I will always care about you, and all the little moments that no one else will get to experience but us. Everything you do from here on out will always matter to me. Its not about finding the perfect mate, its about finding someone that somehow finds your love through all of their faults. Someone, that if the entire world fell away, and everyone you knew had gone would still say that your life mattered to them.
