The Silvertones started in 1997 when Brothers Joel & Chris Mayville decided to start a country & western band. After a few member changes they came upon a great line-up with Chris Solet on Drums & Gary Smyth on Bass. With that combo the band went on to play countless gigs opening for the likes of Bill Kirchen, Big Sandy and playing at NXNE, Montreal Rockabilly Fest, Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Fest and the list goes on. Now the Mayville boys have re-outfitted the band with Kenny Bruce (Starlight Drifters/Big Barn Combo/Bones Maki & The Sun Dodgers) on the big upright bass and Dale "Dr. Of Steel" Rivard on the Pedal Steel. This is one hot country swing act not to be missed.
