this album is SO complete. One of the best ever made in rock. The medley, think it is on side 2, is so that it transcends itself - it goes into another dimension - I mean it is no more popsongs linked together but more like a rock sonata

he´s really a great song-carpenter. Everyone could learn from him, he being classically trained. The structure here is to tight and this tightness gives space for the freedom in his songs

this IS great music. When one hears it youre back in the seventies, but still has some timeless to it. I think Hall and Oates are quite underrated. Maybe because the music is so classic rock with this touch of SOUL - wow

nostalgia, yes - but timeless music, no...listen to some of the timeless music albums made, BLUE by j. Mitchell and Abbey Road by the Beatles - and life becomes to short for this kind of music

ja die Stimmung, vor allem die Stimmung, in der man war als man es gehört hat und dass diese Stimmung wiederkommt ist alles okay - aber diesen Song würde ich nicht gerade als Evergreen bezeichnen - so klasse finde ich ihn nicht...

das war das erste das ich von den Jungs gehört habe - und warum sie auf Englisch singen versteht man nicht - es ist so irgendwie ausgesprochen nicht ihre Sprache - und doch süss-primitiv wenn Deutsche Englisch sprechen- und vielleicht deshalb funktioniert das

nur schade das sie auf Englisch singen - das ist wirklich Fremdsprache für sie hört man - mit diesem naiven Ton, den deutschen eigen.
