And fans did indeed start calling Zeppelin and Deep Purple Heavy Metal, in the Seventies. Almost everyone I knew did by the time I graduated from high school, in 1978. In the Eight...

Oddly, I never really liked this song much. I've always felt there was something not quite right about a band named "Paul Revere and the Raiders" doing a song about this. @TheShitsinger You know? That actually might be true, but imagine if they hadn't changed it. 96, phonetically, just SOUNDS better than 69 in context. Whoever made them change it, that was more likely the reason. I mean, they never made Bob Dylan change the lyrics to Rainy Day Women. The title of ...

Punk? I don't think so. If these guys are punk, then so were The Yardbirds, Stevie Ray Vaughn, etc. ad nauseum. This IS the style that punk based it's "return to the roots of Rock" on, for sure, but not punk at all. Punk was a reactionary movement against over produced and overly technical (in a ...

I'm a songwriter/composer, interested in Internet collaborations. At the moment, I'm only collecting interesting videos from YouTube. Audio quality is important to me so I try to choose only videos with the best audio quality I can find. That the videos are not just "slide shows" is important to me as well, so most of what I collect are actual videos. There are exceptions, of course, to both rules. If I'm unable to find either quality audio or actual videos, I will settle if I think the music or content is really that difficult to find.
I've been on YouTube for several years now under a different username, learning how YouTube works. YouTube has been through so many changes, and I have spent time on so many other sites during the same period, it's been hard to keep up, but I feel I am ready now to set up a decent profile and start making some "noise."
It may be a while before I get some of my own videos up, but I do plan to do so by the end of 2010. I plan to make them all as original as I can.
My web site has been up and running for a couple of years now, but is still under development. Things may look a bit confusing right now, but it will get better over the next year or so. (It's December 2009 as I'm writing this.
@pateris Doesn't look worked on either!
