@IAmTheBlurr These bands aren't even famous though. I'm not saying they're not good (Come on, you can't deny Napalm Death's power. Way too awesome), but I am saying that the most famous band you stated (either Dimmu or Opeth) doesn't come close to most of the metal bands that came out in the 80's...

@musicman3675 Dave wrote more than half of Kill 'Em All.

Kirk based all of his solos off of Dave on Kill 'Em All and few songs on Ride the Lightning.

Don't say he had no part of Metallica when he wrote a substantial amount of their material.

Never really wondered what Justin Bieber would sound like as the frontman of Pantera, but now I know XD

You can't really compare In Waves to Shogun. They're two totally different pieces of music, Shogun is like ...And Justice for All, progressive and more loose, broad metal. In Waves is like the Black Album, strictly one type of metal through and through.

I love both albums, but I won't say In Wav...

@MrParam0re Wow, you're extremely stupid. This is DEFINITELY the original.

He cusses pretty good. Haha. The crowd was quite awful, especially for a European crowd. But that was their first Euro tour I believe, as support, so I don't think many people knew them well.

@cheapy2006 This is definitely thrash/death metal ripoff at the time. No doubt though, Slayer and Metallica were the kings, I would want to be like them too.

Morbid Angel, btw, is better.

@Ao2BairdTUR I understand that concept. I guess I was led here because I saw a pic of them in a magazine, wearing all these heavy thrash metal shirts, and I expected music of the same kind. So naturally, I was a bit disappointed.

Again, just my opinion.

@Gasleak28 Why does it sound like Rise? The only way it sounds like Rise is the intro, and that's just tremolo picking. A lot of bands do that, doesn't mean they're stealing riffs.

If you're going to do a top 10 Slayer riffs list, you can't just exclude ALL the songs from Seasons in the Abyss. Too much Hell Awaits and Reign in Blood on here.

Worsnop needs to work on his stage presence, and focusing on the screams over the clean vocals is always nice too. With that kind of crowd, you can't sacrifice your screams.
