It's serious comedy about a trivial subject--the best kind. It's not historically accurate? wait a minute, it's a comedy.
I lived through the 1960s as a teen, so all the bubblegum music was familiar. That music sucks, but it works really well as clips in the film.
The Brits have the best acting.
