DJ Zen was born in France but is established in Quebec, Canada, since 1996. At an early age and thanks to his family, he was exposed to all kinds of music. From the ages of 15 to 25, he listened to hard rock and death metal and was part of a band, playing bass and electric guitar. DJ Zen is mostly self-taught, taking private music lessons, learning through books and watching music engineering DVD tutorials to constantly improve himself.
In 1995, he discovered Goatrance music through a couple of djs\friends who had traveled to Goa, India. This magical music playing on DAT mesmerized him, so he started to buy cds and trade DATs and Mini Discs to learn djaying while occasionally playing in small private parties to jump-start his career.

'The Collective Evolution' is a documentary aimed at showing the current state of the world, why it needs to be changed, and how each and every one of us can play a role in changing it. The documentary addresses this need for change through five individual yet interrelated structures society has come to rely upon --finance, education, religion, entertainment/ media, and health/ food. Each of these structures is fully broken down to show viewers how they have come into place, and why their continued existence can no longer be supported. The documentary concludes by drawing attention to consciousness. Addressing who we truly are, what we have come on this planet to do, and most importantly how we can go about doing it.

The creation of these images has been influenced with meditation, not a deep meditation but just enough to be shown the path and the stops along the way.
