On April 7, The Rentals released the first musical chapter of their yearlong, online multimedia project SONGS ABOUT TIME: The four-song EP The Story of a Thousand Seasons Past.

Songs About Time is a collaboration between the band, filmmakers, producers and designers to capture and reflect the bands artistic journey of making a record about time during a single calendar year.

The project is made up of films about weeks, photographs about days and songs about time and is The Rentals open invitation to fans to share a year with the band in film, music and photography.
