I know...I remember seeing this at a drive-in with my Dad as well. I guess we had better imaginations BITD. I also remember at the intermission my Dad turned on the radio and the announcement came on that Elvis was dead. Almost 35 years ago, wow, time flies.

we got this album (and corresponding book) since Coca-Cola (my Dad's employer) sponsored "A Charlie Brown Christmas" for many years. I remember listening to this album while watching the trains go around underneath the Christmas tree. Nice memories.

the 2 performances were recorded, and some of the songs were released as "The Beatles - Live at the Hollywood Bowl." . I'd love to know if EMI/Capitol had filmed the concerts as well. I don't remember what George Martin wrote on the liner notes of the LP

Actually this film can be compared to Farenheit 451, and 1984, albeit tongue in cheek. I think we hare heading towards a totalitarian state, with a dumbed-down and docile population kept amused with stupid TV shows, cheap beer, and readily available drugs.

Cool video, you can hear the jazz influence on the RHCP on this song. Still great after all these years.

no modern manufactured pop idols, these guys wrote, played, and sang their songs. I think their Rubber Soul/ Revolver stuff was better, but the harmonies were great.
