u are absolutely right, marathas had done the ground work for british, they looted india and surrendered the country to them. They cheated and back stabbed the muslims when they were fighting the british in 1857.

Delhi durbar was organised by the british to make the Indians feel and believe that our own great Mughal Empire is lost for ever and we Indian are now slaves of the Britain.
