The Pinettes Brass Band is an all female brass band that was formed in 1991 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Their style of music is New Orleans Second line music which is so unique that it cannot be put into any one musical genre. Its a fusion of jazz, funk, gospel, and r&b to name a few. The Pinettes play for all types of events in and around New Orleans as well as around the country, including festivals in New York, Chicago, and Boston.They are an annual fixture at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival drawing a bigger crowd each year.
