I don't understand why people say the end to Victory Road didn't make sense. They had Joe look so unstoppable that it took a bat shot to the face for someone to stop him which makes sense as Sting could only see so much before finally taking him out. Joe is sick of all the doubts on him and decided to make a statement is what they're saying and he didn't drop the title while keeping Booker around for a probable rematch. They accomplished 2 things: Making Joe into the unstoppable monster again, and creating friction between Sting and Joe.
