1.Islam is against terrorism.
The Qur'an states;

"...Whoever kills an innocent soul it is as if he killed the whole of Mankind. And whoever saves one, it is as if he saved the whole of Mankind..." (Surah Al Maidah, Chapter 5 Verse 32)
It is clearly Islamically unlawful to murder an innocent person. Hence, if anyone kills an innocent person, they have committed a grave sin, and certainly the action cannot be claimed to have been done "in the name of Islam."

2. Islam has always given respect and freedom of religion to all faiths.
Islam calls upon all people to engage in respectful dialogue, seek the signs of God in the natural world, and reflect on His message throughout time.

3. Islam does not advocate subjugation of women; men and women are equal in the eyes of God.

"And among His signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell in tranquility with them, and He has put love and mercy between your hearts. Verily in that are signs for those who reflect." (Qur'an 30:21)

4.Real Jihad is: Jihad can be a struggle within one's self — to keep one's heart, tongue, and mind free from evil. One can struggle to perform good deeds and to avoid evil in society. One can struggle with money and possessions, to support good causes. As a final resort, one may struggle in the battlefield against opposing forces.

5.The Prophet of Allah (pbuh) said, "One who kills a non-Muslim person (under the guardianship of an Islamic state) will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise."

He also said, "Whoever hurts a non-Muslim person (under the guardianship of an Islamic state), I am his adversary, and I shall be an adversary to him on the Day of Resurrection."
