The Parkway Theater opened for business in February 1931 and has been operating as a neighborhood cinema ever since. Although originally designed with a Spanish Mediterranean exterior for reasons unknown to us it was erected with a deco modern facade which we revealed in the summer of 2006 when we removed the metal facing covering it installed in the 1950's.

For the last four decades the Parkway theater was owned and run by Bill Irvine who took the reins in 1972 and brought it back from the clutches of an adult film venue and turned the Parkway into one of the finest independent and offbeat film venues in the Midwest.

So, now it's our turn to add to the long legacy of the Parkway theater, one of the last single screen movie houses in the Twin Cities. We want future generations to be able to look back and feel the history we tried to save. Hopefully the energy which we put forth today in our efforts will be felt for many years to come.
SEATING

We presently have 360 set auditorium seats and 20 movable two person love seats for a total seating capacity of 400 guests.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICE

Along with our regular concession fair of popcorn, soda and assorted candy, Pepitos Parkway Theater also offers the following food and alcoholic beverage selection.

Drinks may also be purchased at our main bar and brought into the theater as long as they are put in plastic cups.

Food
We currently do not have an expanded food selection at our concession stand but we do offer full service catering for private bookings. We do allow customers to order take out food from Pepitos and carry it into the theater.

Because of liability issues, food and beverages not purchased from Pepitos are not allowed on the premisis.

CATERING AND THEATER RENTALS
Pepitos Parkway theater is available for screenings, seminars, business meetings, private parties and banquets 7 days a week. We can accomodate full service dining for parties of up to 150 guests with a full bar service or a limited buffet or snack table.
