The Pacific Islanders team is made up of players from Fiji, Samoa and Tonga.
It is a team that represents the People of the Pacific Islands.
It toured and played Australia, New Zealand and South Africa in 2004.
It toured and played Wales Scotland and Ireland in 2006.
It toured and played England, France and Italy in 2008.
It is often rumoured that the Pacific Islanders may enter other yearly regional competitions.
The Island Nations that make up the team enter the World Cup individually, the Pacific Islanders being similar to the British and Irish Lions concept
