The Oldskool Archive

This channel is an archive of oldskool tracks from 1988 to 1995. The styles can be anything that is in the category of "rave", whether it be belgian techno, acid house, hardcore or jungle. I do tend to upload more breakbeat oriented tracks, as this is what I know best, but I will try to upload all styles.

Before I upload a video I manually clean the tracks in Adobe Audition. I remove clicks, hum, hiss, I EQ the rip to ammend frequencies, maximize volume, adjust panning and a lot more. Occasionally I do a full mastering job (often taking well over 8 hours per tune) on tracks I feel deserve it, but as with the saying "you can't polish a turd", no matter how good / rare the tune is, if the rip I have of it is shit then there's not much I can do about it. If I have done a full mastering job then I will provide a 320kbps mp3 of the tune. I will only do full mastering jobs on lossless rips.

For whatever reason, YouTube has improved the audio quality of my videos once I had uploaded 75, the quality has improved from around 96kbps to 112kbps. I will re-upload some of the earlier videos as they will now sound considerably better.
