Im just your normal everyday 67, 285 lb, 56 year old Christian Carp Fisherman. I see myself as an encourager. I dearly love meeting people and making new friends. I love writing with a passion and my Carpin adventures are simply a means to an end.

I grew up in a wonderful home in Jacksonville, Florida. My father was 51 years of age when I was born and my mother was 40. I have one brother 6 years my senior who has always been very supportive of me. I also had a very Godly maternal grandmother who lived with us. Grandma Long had a greater influence on me than anyone in my life. She had been a school teacher as well as a Sunday school teacher. She was 62 when I was born and we buried her just before her 102nd birthday.

I graduated from high school in 1970 and then had the privilege of going to Berry College in Rome, GA. There I met Ramona who has been my best friend and wife for the past 36 years. We graduated from Berry in 1974. In the summer of 1979 I was presented a Master of Education degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta.

Ramona and I are both retired teachers having put in 30 years with the same school system. We have two wonderful children. We also have three beautiful grandchildren. We are still teaching in that I teach a Sunday school class (Thanks to Grandma) and Ramona teaches some Ladies Bible Studies.
