I watched a documentary about Motown and during an interview Martha said she was upset when she recorded this song. I think it was because she didn't like the song or something like that. She said her frustration can definitely be heard the minute she says "Calling Out.....". I love inside storie...

I think the joke was that out of all birds to reference he said he was a peacock! The typical saying is fly like an EAGLE. But no, he prefers to flyyy like a PEACOCK!..haha
