I feel we should all try to include this "NatureFactor" in our life in some way, this could be done by going on the occasional camping trip, or even something as simple as going for a walk in the woods every now and then, or maybe even trying some new type of wild edible (berries, flowers, or even fruits) I am a stong beliver in the fact that we all need some down time away from mondern life, to get back to the true essence of our being, for me this can only be done by being in nature, hence the name of my channel "TheNatureFactor". I plan to make a lot of instructional videos and also some of my own trips in the forrests of Canada NovaScotia, keep in mind that chances are i could learn as much about survival from you as you can from me, I am not highly experenced , but I would love it for you to join me on my adventures and fun times as I expand my knowlage of my vast homeland, and try to improve as a survivalest. :) I also love comments and ratings on my videos :)
About Me:
Just a few tips, from me regaurding my experences in the wilderness, and a few words to the wise :)
1) not sure who this was first said by... but it is a great rule to follow when lost or stranded "Hope for the best, Prepare for the worst" this is because it is much easyer to deal with a pleasant suprise than an unpleasent one.
2) Fear and anxiety are both very close relatives to panic, do NOT let theese feelings turn into fear, which is one of the worst feelings toward impeeding your survival, insted, do something construcitive toward your survival, weither it be asses your gear, or your surroundings, to take your mind of being affraid.
3) Break down your situation... "im out here alone, and im going to die." ... "no wait, my dad was expecting me home in 2 days.".... "and he knows the general area where i went." so im not going to die... i just need to stay where i am and try to keep my whits about me for a few days, im going to be fine."... its thinking like that that will surly keep you alive.
4) Do not pity yourself... "See yourself as a victim, and you shall become one, See yourself as the hero, and that you will be." very, very true statment... no matter how strong you are, your mind is stronger, keep it in line and you will make it :).
5) A lot of people find it hard to wrap their head around the fact that you can go for almost 4 weeks, Sometimes even longer wihtout any food at all!, The biggest downside to this however is the masive amount of energy loss, So a rule I liek to follow is, If you don't need to stand, Than sit, If you dont need to sit, Than lay down, And lasty if you dont need to be awake, Than sleep, Anything you can do to conserve your energy untill you need it is a key factor toward your survival.

Movies:
Ray Mears, has really inspired me to make the videos i make and hes done this through his shows (bushcraft) and (extreme survival) i am also a HUGE fan of Les Stroud (maker of a fantasctic show called Survivorman) where Les battles the wilderness alone for 7 days... i unfourtuanly cant get that indepth yet, but at some point in my life i hope i will have the skills and knowlage to do some of the things theese 2 people do :)
