Thinking further on plastics....how bout all the irrigation pipe and hoses we use. that black funny pipe, p-tape, and pvc with glued joints. Couple weeks ago I was adding some sprinklers and noticed how much the glue squeezes out into the pipe for direct water contact. That glue is nasty stuff...
