sorry to interject or what not, but i saw your comment from 2 months ago on felipecamposbass s channel
But as far as i can tell from watching covers, watching dream theater/john myung and playing it my self, You need a 6 string to play it exactly the same way, but only for small bits, like the tapping behind the epic guitar riff before the guitar/keyboard solo requires the C string, and the tapping bass solo sounds more complete when finshed with a note on the B (7th fret) with a slide down then playing the 2nd on the E, which is how John Myung plays it live, and some of the harmonics are much much easier/only possible (depending on set up etc) through out the song plus playing it on a 6 is more liek JM ;) haha, PLUS awesome music taste man Muse and Dream Theater xD
Really depends on what kind of style your into....
When a started playing the bass i got a 4 string one... but i was really young and didn`t really know what i wanted.
