OK, Tuesday, 2-7-12, is the day YouTube shits it's pants and drives millions away. If I don't like their forced channel changes, or if I no longer have the option of the old one, I will be shutting this channel down. In such event, it has been fun sharing all my favorites with you, and I hope you have enjoyed them. I advise everyone to copy as much YT content as you can and take it to other video domains.

To avoid loosing your favorite videos due to copyright issues and what not, get yourself a free program called "YouTube Downloader" ("YTD") and download your favorites to your machine. I have 197 saved now, and I'm glad I did - I lost one of my favorites this morning ON YT, but I still have it on MY machine. Hah! Plus, it strips off all SPAM when you download a video.

For the record, they cut you off at 480 favorites. I guess they got to set a limit somewhere. I'm starting to refine my favorites and drop some of the less spectacular ones.

In case anyone wonders, it may seem like I am adding duplicates, but I'm actually replacing the videos that someone whined about and they removed them because they were too "shocking" (YT is ABOUT shocking stuff!), or videos that were removed due to copyright, etc. Thanks to massive plagerism on YT, there is often the same video out there with a different name.

Time marches on - bad stuff happens. Old comp died. Lost a lot of work. Fell off a ladder and broke my arm. "Deal" with other neighbor to split the net fell through. Got a "new" comp and suddenly managed to connect to an open router. It's weak and I can't watch videos like I used to, but at least it's something.

Well, the neighbor lady, who opened her router for me a looooong time ago, got fed up with Bresnan's new greed policy so she disconnected her cable/internet. I won't be able to connect nearly as often as I used to. Only two weak bars now. ;-(
