I wonder if Animaniacs would have survived if the producers hadn't been so damned spinoff-happy that they killed the whole project by doing Pinky & the Brain that early. The original show (and its "sketch" style of delivery) was great. The spinoff sucked.

I'll buy that 1982-85 was a peak. The late 80's were crap-tacular, for the most part.

Anyone can look at the place Journey started versus where they wound up and see that Rollie was probably a bit disillusioned, but 14 years on the road, with a good bit of it being in a superstar band, touring and recording constantly, will wear anyone down to the point of needing a break.
