I don't think that Hyoyeon doesn't get to dance like this because anyone is scared of her leaving SNSD. I think it's because some of the other girls (like Tiffany-no offense; I love Fany!) wouldn't be able to dance the way she can, and the choreographers want the dancing styles to match.
