Listening to the Martians music is a bit like being attacked by a squad of squirrels armed with switchblades... they look forward to sharing their songs with you... and they hope it will hurt. We are The Martians... where do your gods live and how do we kill them?

The Martians have been coming for a very, very long time indeed... after reducing the snivveling puny-human race to its knees in the closing years of the nineteenth century they all came down with the cold and had to withdraw to Cumbernauld in Scotland. One hundred and three years later, their attempts to control the world, this time through the medium of pop music were dealt a crippling blow when lead singer Sneddon won a karaoke competition in London. Now, a full five years after that, the evil of the Martians has found a new genre: musical theatre! Their horror musical 'the Sundowe' won the Highland Quest for a new musical and was produced in Inverness by Eden Court and Cameron Mackintosh - the man famous for musicals about Cats and Frenchmen.

Their next opus, Greyfriars Twisted Tales, received five star reviews all over the place in the 2008 Edinburgh Festival.

	TheMartians (1 year ago) Our songs are fundamentally hatred based. All good numbers need some emotion, and hatred is the most powerful...and easily come by. Go for the piano. If you can play piano well then it easily translates to organ, harp, or any other instrument that has it's name printed on the "effects" button. Guitar is well worth pursuing, and a damn sight lighter than a piano, but also easier to work on as a hobby. Piano will teach you the basics, which you can then hone on any instrument. Avoid theatre, it's dreadful.
