Laser Age [freeware game] Music & Gameplay
Laser Age is an old Win95 simple Galaga-style freeware game that is nearly impossible to beat on a fast computer. The music from this game is amazing, iv only been able to beat this game 2 or 3 times as a kid, & it was running on my dad's old laggy Packard Bell. If not for the lagg, i would have never been able to beat this game. This game is still available to find but it is now known as Laser Age Gold, the good part is its still free. As far as i know, the final version of this game (Gold) is the only version available to find, any previous versions of Laser Age (pre-Gold) have vanished. The age of this game has pritty much rendered it abandonware, & i can't help but assume it won't run on anything 64-bit or beyond XP. Regardless, if you love challenges, or are just flat-out bored & want something to do then give this game a try.
Why I Love The Japanese [Japanese prank collection]

Welcome To The G-NOME/Dominion SOG3 Universe
This is one of the video game sci-fi stories that has set an example during its time(1996-1998) as well as inspire certain sci-fi games to this day. If you disagree then feel free to post a comment in my channel stating your argument. G-Nome is a 3D mech shooter that tells the story 1st-person through a UIA soldier named Joshua Gant(the Master Chief of the 90's), it mainly tells Gant's personal story but also gives a basic concept on the background of the G-Nome universe. 10 years ago, Gant went on a mission that went horribly wrong, though he survived 1 of his best friends named Ron Pearl didn't & his body was never found(wana find out more specificly how it ends? play the game). Gant gathers a team as he progresses through the story and the covert mission that he was recalled to active duty for takes a turn for the worst. One of Gant's squad members, major Jack Sheridan betrays the team just as he did & was aquitted for in the previous mission 10 years back. Plagued by failure near the end of the game, Gant takes down Sheridan & focuses on the original objective: destroy the Scorp bio-weapon.
The gameplay of G-Nome is unique because unlike other mech games that restrict you to your vehicle this 1 gives you the freedom to fight on foot as well as hijack/steal enemy vehicles. Ultimately what led this game's demise was several bad 1st impressions & + the complex/muddy control scheme, what most people don't seem to mention is the game gives you the option to customize the controls. For a Win95 game it runs pritty well on newer computers, there have even been a few success stories of it working on 32-bit Vista & 32/64-bit 7, but the best OS to run it on is XP. If you want the epic music to play while you are playing the game simply download/copy the .ISO/"image" file of G-NOME & burn it to a CD. Put the CD in your disc drive b4 you launch the game[!your computer's hardware & OS will also determine if the music plays, so it still may not work!].
Dominion on the other hand tells the story of of the 4 major space-age races constantly competing for resources & power. During a time of uneasy peace a strange beacon is found in orbit over a planet known as Gift 3, when analized it broadcasted a warning message telling of a threat known as the Messiah Device(the Reapers of the 90's). The 4 races became interested in it's mystery/power & waged war over it. Near the end of the game it finally activates and is seen as a collection of machines, it then quickly & swiftly wipes out all signs of organic life inhabiting the planet it is on. The Messiah begins to mobilize it's forces off-planet & all 4 races begin to prepare for the worst. This... is were our story ends for now...
The gameplay of Dominion is completely different from it's prequel G-Nome, it is a 2D RTS game that will kick the player's ass just as hard as G-Nome will. The noticeable & interesting feature of this game is that you can play as any of the 4 races, each with their own unique advantages & disadvantages, each race also has their own campaign & story. Although this game ended up as a failure for the company that it was handed to(Ion Storm), it did add more insight & background to the G-Nome/Dominion story. This Win98 game runs almost as well with newer pcs as G-Nome does, keep in mind it is a 2-disc game & is designed to run only when the disc is inserted in the cd drive(early anti-piracy technique), to work around this problem simply follow the same technique as the 1 described for G-Nome.
The 4 major space-age races in the G-NOME/Dominion universe are a key factor in both games. The Union is the human race, their technology & overall stats are moderately even, they tend to play the main role in both stories, Earth is their home planet. The Darken Republic is a stout dwarven alien race originating from a dry desert-like planet, their technology is not as advanced as the other races but they compensate for it in strength, armor & endurance. The Bendian Mercinary Provisionary Republic is a very aggressive & predatory alien race that originates from an icy-wasteland homeworld, they have even been known to execute their own weak & wounded, their technology is the most advanced out of all the races but they prefer to use stolen/captured tech aquired from their hit-&-run raids. The Scorp Empire is a somewhat hive-minded alien race that originates from a densely-vegetated world, drones & workers serve a queen & most follow her orders without question, their technology is on-par with that of the humans but their overall stats are rather weak, they compensate for it in their ability to overwhelm their enemies in vast numbers.
