I am really re-exploring my lyrics that I've called complete to myself. I have had a great change of heart on some of the melodies that I felt was right at the time of the original writing. I don't want to be stuck writing 1 or 2 genres. I know I'm capable of more than that so I've decided to completely change several. I look at the art of writing like the changes we are capable of doing with other life adventures. The mind is so complex with emotions & changes, it becomes adaptable to situations. So how I look at this, to me it seems exciting, fun, yet challenging work. I have been challenged in some very critical situations these last few years, learned from it & survived. Therefore if I look at & ask to challenge myself to do something differently that I love, it should be worthwhile to give it my best shot. I am my own worst critic, but I feel optimistic about this & if I don't go for it, then it will haunt me that I didn't.
