Since 1970, the Lyndon B. Johnson School has built a proud tradition of public service and cutting-edge research on the greatest public policy challenges of our time. The School prepares students to be leaders in our society, conducts research in innovative public policy, provides continuing education for public service professionals, and fosters informed public debate on leading public issues. Drawing upon a world-renown, multidisciplinary faculty, and the resources of the University of Texas at Austin, one of the worlds leading research universities, the LBJ School is well-placed to help share public policy for the 21st century. We are truly at the intersection of knowledge and action.
In 35 years of education and service, the LBJ School has awarded more than 2,600 Masters of Public Affairs degrees. Our alumni have made their marks in elective office and key policy and management positions, and in government and the non-profit sectors as well. They are leaders in our community, our state, our nation, and in the international community.
The LBJ School offers a broad array of academic and research programs in health and social policy, international affairs and trade, technology policy, leadership, economics, energy and environment, and public and nonprofit management. Our success comes from forging strong partnerships with public policy makers, businesses, international agencies, non-governmental organizations, the media, and governments at all levels.
