@ClavicleofSolomon OK OK. . .sheesh, I say something regrettable on a whim months ago, and I'm still getting people replying to it. :P Retraaaact?

I think it'd be a little strange for a guy in his 50s with a family to do a 'downright brutal' album. . .there is definitely brutal instrumentation on this album that should satisfy the early rhythmic appetite.

Crime & The City Solution - All Must Be Love
15/08/1987
Hamburg
Knopf Music Hall
@rollokb2 Well I started listening to them when I was 15 but they didn't "click" until about a year ago. I've actually noticed a lot of teenage people who are big fans of this kind of music lately though (Swans, Nick Cave, Rowland S Howard, etc.). Judging by the blogs I happen across, anyway. It'...

Simon Bonney - Saw You Falling
Simon Bonney - Forever [1992]
@valle77 He didn't, he's on Facebook and apparently trying to get together a new album. Maybe even a Crime reunion (with as many of the Berlin members as possible, I'm guessing). Well, I guess he did disappear for a while. . .point is, he's emerged now!

The Birthday Party - Hamlet (Pow, Pow, Pow)
The 5th track from The Birthday Party's 1982 album, entitled "Junkyard."
This is my favorite Birthday Party song ever. The WHEREFORE ART THOU, BABYFACE?? may be my favorite bit of vocal anywhere, period.

Hugo Race - Will You Wake Up
My favourite track from his forthcoming album "Fatalists" on Gusstaff Records.
I love this song, but there are a couple words that my ears refuse to understand. . .hurrghh, frustration. I guess I need to wait til I have the money to buy it, huh? :P

Swans - My Birth

Might be my favorite song on the album. !!

The Dolphins & The Sharks
Crime & the City Solution
@fieryjackswampthing This is late as hell but I gotta say, while true for this song, with older Crime songs it can be super frustrating. I was listening to The Kentucky Click for years before I got what the hell he was singing about. . .

This again. . .I just love how Jim looks about to piss his pants, haha. I'm also pretty sure he doesn't like Joy Division, he was just mocking comparisons people like to make.
Michael Gira - You're Not Real, Girl (TV Promo)
I found this somewhere, forget where--it's linked way back on the Young God boards, I believe. YouTube = easy access, though!
