Couldn't Bruno afford to have his piano tuned? Way out of tune kind of adds to the nostalgia, though. It's interesting that out of tune perhaps helped him to hear other(orchestral) voices

w/ all respect to Robbie detractors' I recall him, in his prime, as being quite economical
with notes. and all of them going to the point of the song. TheBand was a great,organic

had this on 8track, back in the day, also. Great record. The song, I thought,
was an early pro-environment message. Spirit was a fine band. And I'm a bit
dispirited by some of the idiotic postings I see.

Perahia and Gould play Mozart
Murray Perahia and Glenn Gould play excerpts from Mozart's Piano Concerto #24 in C minor, K. 491.

One must take note of the extreme dissimilarities of the two pianos presented
in this video. Glenn"s (quite famous) piano had been made to be light&bright.
Murray's, in contrast, sounds to me to be almost a new instrument: and is certainly
much more "dull" as it "attacks" the strings of the piano...

A bit of right pedal; and even an un-scarlattian slur towards the end. But:
who cares? I don't. I think Horowitz was the best translator, on piano, of this
music. And here he was in Russia; again after so many years of exile.
Wonderful!

played it faster.) So much is personal choice; and we are lucky to have options;
