Couldn't Bruno afford to have his piano tuned? Way out of tune kind of adds to the nostalgia, though. It's interesting that out of tune perhaps helped him to hear other(orchestral) voices

Murray's, in contrast, sounds to me to be almost a new instrument: and is certainly
