As sweet as these ladies sing this, and Celtic Thunder does indeed do an admirable job, I think Dougie Maclean (who wrote this song) has the definitive version. If you like Celtic ensembles, check out the High Kings.

@ecojot There is an instructional video on youtube that shows the tuning and fingerpicking sequence, as John plays it. There is also another video that shows how to lay it in standard tuning.

@mollydez I can't decide who is better- Lindsy or Davis Gilmore. I love both their styles.

Uh-oh, seems like sentiment is getting in the way. The BG's were and still are great songwriters. I'm in my 60's, and have be into music since the 50's, and there are plenty of great songwriters out there- but really, how many beatles albums have you heard?? The Beatles wrote songs for everyone...
