From some credible sources, the minnie dice were sort of a reenactorism. The wood and bone were highly popular and ceramic too. You can find bone dice if you keep a keen eye at antique dealers. I have a few myself. Cool board!

@97yankeeboy You do know that a mule or horse doesnt always keep the same pair of shoes its whole life. Eventually they would need to be replaced and the ferriers would just throw them away. Plus, horseshoes is a game that dates back to the roman era. How did I know this? Its called research.
