About this user

I have always had a penchant for travel. From my early years of regular visits to my parents' homeland of Mexico to the occasional border crossing to Canada, my thirst for exploring new lands began with those trips during my formative years. Later on, perhaps through the typical rites of passage known as college, I was wet behind the ears and had a different thirst. My thirst for beer (or any liquid intoxicant at that point — it didn't really matter) was a fast and furious one, so much so that I didn't take the time to slow down or appreciate the intricacies that form a good glass of brew.

So here I am, a little older, a little wiser, with the same thirst for travel, and a penchant for soaking in (literally and figuratively!) all the experiences that beer brings to my life. And so is born The Hoppy Nomad. In my travels I have met wonderful people, from the soft spoken brewer to the rambunctious reveler — as many of which I would like to share with you. I hope you enjoy my tales! Cheers!
