@Redskin1040
Megalomaniacs like Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot didn't kill people because they were atheists or in the name of atheism, but because they are/were cold, uncaring lunatics who valued power over anything and it was necessary (in their opinion) to exercise that power by murder.

No, Egyptian religion was thriving around 3000 B.C.E. roughly 1500 years (given an oral tradition leeway of about 300 years), Ancient Greek religion (Dionysis and Heracles) perpetuated their myths from circa. 800 B.C.E. until 200 B.C.E. and Mithra and the Persian religion existed ...

You're assuming that you're right and everybody else is wrong. Saying "I'm right, you're wrong" isn't an argument. And like I said, there is not a shred of evidence to suggest that Jesus "really did it."

Actually, many ancient religions that preceded Christianity had a resurrected savior: Dionysis &Heracles in Greek mythology, Osiris in Egyptian mythology, Mithra in Persian mythology... that's just off of the top of my head, but there are others. Look them up if you wish, but I can assure...

Regarding the prophecies it is not, especially the earthquake and solar eclipse at the time of the "Ressurrection". In fact there is no concrete evidence that your Messiah even existed in the first place, never mind rose from the dead.

I mean, we know Noah was his "only friend," solves problems with rainbows, has a vendetta against women that stems from his nonexistent penis... just like the rest of him.

Yeah, the Jews. Also, I'm saying that Christianity borrows lots of its elements from different pagan religions, which was probably why it was so easy to convert to, you know, it has a little something for everybody. Also, what hotwhellertat2 said.

Out of the myriad religions in the world, it's arrogant of you to assume that you have picked the right one. In fact, this "separated & judged" part of Christianity is probably taken from Egyptian mythology, where Anubis would weigh the hearts of the dead to determine their fate in the un...

This "What if YOUR wrong?"/ pre big bang crap given while I was looking at some of the earlier comments and Scott7000, so I said that the argument going on between the creotards and the big bang pushers was naive and proposed a different explanation to shift the weight of the argument.

Continuing from my previous post... In proposing that the universe "reincarnates", I am providing an alternate solution to the "Where did the first atom come from?" or "Where did God(s) come from?" problem that can satisfy the whims of both theists and atheists, because that atom c...

@Scotch7000
My post had absolutely nothing to do with religion (I'm an atheist anyway, which isn't a religion), rather it concerned the naïveté in assuming that a god created the universe or even that a single big bang created the universe as perhaps the concept of "nothing" does not even exist....

Perhaps the Big Bang is actually not the birth of the first or the only universe, but rather a phoenix cycle where there are multiple big bangs and the collective energy of all of the supermassive black holes that theoretically remain at the end of the universe (aka the "Big Freeze") ...

Um... you can't hate something you don't believe in. Seriously, it's right there in the name a-theist (opposite of theist) and is not the same as a non-theist because deists and pagans are included in non-theist as well. Just look at what Gervais said in the clip: "Why did God make me a...
