FAITH is literally telling yourself whatever you wish to be true, is true. If it takes faith to believe, it's wishful thinking...not the truth.
It takes faith to convince yourself lies are truths.

If any real God(s) spoke to people, believers would all be hearing the same messages, worshiping the same God(s), and getting along with each other. This isn't the case.
If you believe a God is communicating with you or guiding you or you are doing their will, you are verifiably playing your God in the third person. You are delusional. To what degree, is the depth of your faith.
Faith is not a virtue. It's literally 'suspending your disbelief' - and that's what magicians tell their audience to do, just before they fool them.

The truth is not what we choose to believe, the truth is what we can prove to be true.
FACT is proving 1+1=2.
FAITH is pretending 1+1=whatever you wish were true. It's literally giving yourself license to lie to yourself and accept the lies of others as truths.
Hope is for the lazy.
Prayer is for wishful thinkers.
Ignorance is for cowards.

I don't mind the 'I just believe it cause I like it. I don't take it too seriously' religious people. A little self delusion is a nice escape once in a while. However, the moderates are the underlying powerbase for the fundamentalists. And these people are mental.

Religion makes shit up.
