HAYSI FANTAYZEE Biography


JEREMY

Born London. Attended St. Saviours Catholic Grammar School, took up Voodoo, was identified as the Antichrist and expelled. Moved into an abandoned building in London's Warren St. with several dozen other talkers and ticklers. Fell down the stairs into a London club and stayed for nearly 3 years as an itinerant DJ. Eventually took to a wheelchair and never went out exept when wheeled to Regent's Park Zoo by devoted friends.

KATE - irish

Born Wigan. Educated at Notre Dame Convent High School. Expelled. Ran away from home and spent two years exploring Europe and Asia on foot. Returned to England and spent another two years at Blackpool art college studying photography. Moved to London and worked as a professional photographer and part-time model before meeting Paul and Jeremy. Kate hasn't slept since she was 16.

PAUL - jewish

Born London. Learned to play piano at age 6. Trapped at several university institutions. Ran away to become a band leader on P&O cruises. Gave this up and took a job in a telephone factory. Designed computer systems for ITT. Was offered job improving atomic bombs at Aldermarston but turned it down, choosing instead to play piano for funky Latin rock combo Animal Magnet. Met Kate and Jeremy and found Haysi Fantayzee.

HAYSI FANTAYZEE

Paul, Kate and Jeremy met in the Ant House at Regents Park Zoo in December 1981. Soon they found themselves cutting up cloth, rapping and squawking and rascalling about town. They agreed that cigarettes were Snouty Geezers, and that the best things in life were shiny. Soon they were surrounded by people waving pieces of paper, which they signed.

Now they make records, design clothes and play games. They haven't decided what to do next ...
