This is by far the best performance of this piano concerto ever! Such a deep understanding of each note, phrase is beyond believe. The best way to understand what I mean is to compare it with the great Horowitz. With Gulda each note speaks, while Horowitz simply plays notes, scales etc. but the t...

there is nothing left for anyone else. There are very few such definite recordings (another one may be Horowitz´s Tchaikovsky/Toscanini live, or Gulda´s Mozart K 488 with Abbado).
Anyway, Gulda was one of the best pianists w...

@juiceforjoe This statement means nothing. R. was a reputable pianist, so at least you must say WHY it is not good. Or, if you know nothing about music you can say "I don´t like it". No one can argue about that. Actualy, I am not particularly fan of R., however, this is a great performance! I can...

Don´t take me for a racist, but Yuja Wang and Lang Lang are the most capable
pianists today. She has not made so many recordings as Lang, therefore fewer
chances for some problematic performances (such as Lang´s Träumerei or
Chopin´s Etude op, 10,3). I think, she has little more disciplin and taste.
