The Hooping Life is the first film to chronicle today's groovy subcultural uprising of hula-hoopers who overthrow the shackles of convention and turn a child's toy into club art, teacher's aid, and a redemptive tool.
Filmed partly by the subjects themselves, and traveling from Burning Man to Time Square, from South Central to South Africa, The Hooping Life captures the birth and addictive growth of a new subculture.
