@StarkCoyotEspada1 you did realize how close the anime had been to the manga after the battle with nagato right? all those fillers were viewed as "necessary" for the anime not to catch up to the manga. much like how one piece is going right now, but instead of fillers, they are dragging the story...

@TheIDCBear though that might be the usual case it is not true for every anime, some fillers does hold significance towards the main story, as well as some movies.
