From 2001-2005 the United Wrestling Alliance (UWA) dominated the controversial and often misunderstood world of backyard wrestling. By bringing a professional attitude to it's shows and matches, the UWA set a new standard for not just backyard wrestling, but wrestling in general.

In the 6 years since UWA's last show, its alumni have gone on to achieve stardom in virtually every professional company in NY & NJ. The UWA roster has captured over 100 professional titles and have appeared on WWE & TNA television. They have gone overseas and competed in wrestling meccas including Mexico, Japan, & Germany.
Now in 2011, the promotion's founder and creator, David Swan has reopened the doors of the UWA combining many of the original stars with some of the best up and coming talent from the Tri-State area, As "UWA Elite" the United Wrestling Alliance has burst onto the internet, bigger and better than before. With two weekly shows "UWA Allstarz" and "UWA Action Zone", UWA Elite delivers more than two hours of original content each week.
