how do you feel about the goalie conterversy brewing in the peg? Pavlec is young, seems to have upside, but he is being outplayed by his backup, the veteran Chris Mason, same S% at 91, but Mason has a far lower GAA and the fact that in 40 starts pav has 3 Shut outs to Chris' 2 shutouts in 13. thoughts?

From years of research that I have conducted it 's obvious to me that there are no stars at this position. There are bad goalies and Quick is NOT one of those. I think he is as good as most in the NHL. I do believe that if Bernier were given more starts he would do just as well as Quick. If Quick only played once every two weeks like Bernier I think it would be tough.

I am a devout Kings fan and do believe Quick is one of the best goalies in the league mainly because of his performance this season. I have only seen him let in a weak goal in the first game of the season vs New York and of course in the 8-2 blowout loss to Detroit. Obviously he has a great defensive system in front of him (it's why they went from being 30th in the league to consistent playoff appearances) and he ALWAYS gives credit to his team for it in interviews. The man knows the game and it's very clear when you hear him make these references. What do you think though? Quick and Bernier are both active on the Kings roster, but Quick is performing much better. Is this due to having far more starts? Has he truly advanced beyond Bernier? Or is it something else?

As you can see they were basically ALL THE SAME, Quick was just lucky enough to get the call!

Hey dude, your channel is positively one of my favorite on youtube, you know your stuff, i will argue every time i post because it's simply how i am with sports, but you show some interesting stuff, i only just recently started getting back into nhl hockey for the first time since i was 5 (my jets were gone!!! WTF do i do? cheer for the ducks?!!).
