@all10980 ... Later, the Prophet appeared to the man in a dream and said "Go to Umar and give him my greeting, then tell them they will be watered." Al-Bayhaqi, in "Al-Bidaya wa'l Nihaya" cites it as "isnaduhu sahih" (sahih chain).
Ibn Abi Shayba cites it, in his "Musannaf", as Sahih as well...a...

@a3th3r Seriously Dude, not that atheists are known as the champions of morality or ethics, but I'd be embarrassed to have you represent me or argue in my favor. You are not a credit to the educated or prudent. At least oadnrtyo can make a point without ad homenim attacks and unwarranted profanit...

The Alchemy of Ecstasy... I have found the Philosopher's Stone within the Book of Allah... I've discovered the Red Sulphur in the person of His Messenger... I have become inebriated, partaking in the elixir of His remembranceBismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Wa salaatu wa salaam 'alaa Khayr il-Bariyya, Maulana, wa Shaykhina, wa Imamina, wa Habibna, wa Murshidina, wa Nabillah Muhammad, wa 'alaa Alihi wa Sahabihi wa salam.
In the name of Allah, Most Beneficent, Ever Merciful
And prayers and salutations of peace be upon the apotheosis and greatest of creation, our Master, our Shaykh, our Leader, our most Beloved, our Spiritual Guide and Advisor, and the Prophet of Allah, Muhammad, and upon his Family and Blessed House, and his Noble Cohort and Loyal Companions, may there be ever lasting peace.
As salaamu 'alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu.
I am a Muslim and born citizen of the United States of America currently residing in Cairo, Egypt.
I'm an adherent to the classical and traditional interpretation of Islam as it is followed by the vast majority of Muslims the world over from the advent of the religion (Ahl Sunna wa'l Jama'), and a staunch opponent of the lamentably disheartening trend of Muslim extremism prevalent in today's media and, even more saddening, within the Muslim global communities in general.
Aside from my subscription to Sunni Islam...Shafi'i in regards to fiqh, while Ash'ari regarding theological doctrine, I am also an ardent proponent and passionate defender of the long standing tradition of Islamic jurisprudence and the extant Sunni rites, as well as the indispensibly monumental tradition and classical legacy of Sufism within the Islamic milieu. As such, I'm also a humble and unworthy initiate into the order and fraternity of the illustrious Saint and eminent sapient...our Liege Lord, the sagely citadel of Islamic knowledge, the eponymous Sayyiduna 'Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani, may Allah sanctify his secret and bestow upon him a most bountiful and lofty abode in His Divine Elysium.
As salaamu 'alaykum.
Country: Egypt
Occupation: Associate Academic Dean at a Cairo-based, American model school.
Companies: The Elite EFL Lounge
Interests and Hobbies: Reading and studying on Islam, particularly on comparative fiqh, comparative religion and Islamic Mysticism (Sufism), as well as the history and hagiographies of the great saints and scholars of Islam.
Movies and Shows: The Star Wars Trilogies, Kick Ass, fantasy flicks (the comic adaptations and stuff like that), and I'm a sucker for a good documentary.
Books: The Qur'an, The Naqshbandi Sufi Way and the Saints of the Golden Chain, Classical Islam and the Naqshbandi Sufi Tradition, Anwar al Kamal, Isabella: A Girl of Muslim Spain, The Colored Patriots of the American Revolution and too many others to name (I know the book is always better, but if the movie is available, who has the time?).
@MrGrandDragon I'm not mixing these two. I have a full understanding of Shaykh Hamza's sentiments in this regard and it is correct to say that Sufism does not exist, in the traditional sense or otherwise, outside of the framework of Shari'a (Islam), nor can the latter function holistically withou...
